The Township’s Fire Danger Rating remains HIGH. Fireworks are prohibited, and open burning is prohibited. All burn permits are suspended.
Recreational campfires are also prohibited. Campfires are permitted only for cooking or warmth where no other means of cooking or warmth is available and all of the following conditions are met:
(a) The site of the fire is bare rock or non-combustible material;
(b) The fire is at least five (5) metres from any flammable material;
(c) The fire does not exceed one metre in height and one metre in diameter;
(d) The person tending the fire has tools and/or water adequate to contain the fire within the fire site.
