Rick and his wife Joan have enjoyed a family cottage on Sturgeon Bay for more than 50 years. Upon retirement in 2020 Pointe au Baril became their permanent home and cottage for their 3 children and 10 grandchildren. In May of 2026, Rick was selected as Councillor representing Ward 1 for the remainder of the 2022-2026 term of Council.
